Alternative Date & Time Suggestions

A "sorry, we're full" screen is the moment a booking is lost. The guest came with intent, got told no, and now they're one tap away from trying the restaurant next door. Most booking forms stop there. Ours doesn't.

Alternative Date & Time Suggestions kick in the moment a slot comes back empty. If Friday 8pm has nothing, the form immediately shows Friday 7:30 and 9:30, or Saturday 8pm, or the next available weekday evening — whatever the availability engine finds closest to what the guest asked for. The guest picks one with a tap and continues the same booking flow, with party size and details carried over.

Behind the scenes, the suggestion engine queries availability across the next N days, ranks by proximity to the requested time, and filters for party-size fit. Venues can configure how far ahead to look and how many suggestions to show. The net effect is that bookings that would otherwise die on a full slot convert at a much higher rate — sometimes 40-60% of "full" attempts turn into bookings on the suggested alternative.
