Table & Floor Plan

Combinable Tables

Big party? Join tables. Keep the bookings clean.

A group of ten walks in. Your biggest table fits six. You push two four-tops together and seat them — and then the booking system loses track of what's where. That's how double-bookings happen on busy Saturdays.

Each table in Reservation.Tools has a minimum and maximum party size. When a reservation is bigger than any single table can fit, the availability engine groups tables together to cover the party. The reservation is linked to all the joined tables at once — so every one of them shows as occupied on the floor plan and in the schedule.

It works for auto-assignment from online bookings and for manual seating when staff combine tables in person. The reservation stays intact. When guests leave, all the tables free up together.

No more guessing. No more "I thought table 12 was free." One party, one reservation, every combined table marked.

Key benefits

1

Fit parties bigger than your biggest table

Groups of 8, 10, 12 get seated by combining smaller tables — no lost bookings because nothing is big enough.

2

No double-bookings when tables are joined

Every table in the combination shows occupied across the floor plan and the schedule.

3

Works for online bookings too

The availability engine picks the right table combination automatically when a big party books online.

4

One party, one reservation

Staff see a single booking record — not three separate ones they have to reconcile when the group leaves.

5

All tables free up together

When the group pays and leaves, every combined table is released in one move.

How it works

  1. 01

Set min and max party size per table

Each table has a capacity range. A four-top is min 2, max 4.

  2. 02

A big party books or walks in

The party size exceeds any single table.

  3. 03

    Availability engine combines tables

The system groups tables whose combined capacity fits the party.

  4. 04

Reservation attaches to all of them

The booking links to every joined table. Each one is marked on the floor plan.

  5. 05

    Everything frees up together

When the reservation closes, the entire combination releases at once.

Stop turning away groups because your biggest table is too small

Combine tables cleanly and keep every booking accurate.
