Reservation Comments & Internal Notes
A reservation is more than a name and a time. "Anniversary, bring the champagne", "Guest in a wheelchair, table by the entrance", "Last visit: allergic to nuts — tell the kitchen". Reservation.Tools gives every booking a comment field so nothing gets lost between the booking and the shift.
The comment can come from the guest via the online form, or your staff can add it after a phone call. Either way, it travels with the reservation — visible on the floor plan, the print-out, and the shift report.
Why it matters
Most service friction comes from missing context. The manager took the call, but the hostess seats the guest, and the waiter serves them. Written comments remove the need to remember or pass messages verbally. Every team member sees the same thing.
Real examples
"Birthday cake at 9pm — already paid." "Guest is VIP, comp the first drink." "Table 12 — please no loud music, hearing aid." "Arriving from a long drive, seat immediately, no drinks menu." All captured in one field, read in one glance.
