Reservation Management

Slot Rules & Scheduler

Different rules for different slots — set once, reuse often

Not every slot in your schedule is the same. A 7pm Saturday dinner is not a 3pm Tuesday lunch. Reservation.Tools lets you attach rules to each work time slot, so the booking form and the operator app treat each slot the way you run it.

Build rules once, reuse them across any slot: promotions, discounts, required deposits, no-show fees, or a fixed set menu. When a guest books a slot that requires a deposit, the form collects the payment before confirming. When a slot has a promotion, it shows on the form and in reports.

Why it matters

Most booking tools treat every slot as equal. Yours don't work that way. Slot rules let you protect your high-value times with deposits, fill slow slots with promotions, and run a Valentine's Day set menu without building a second system.

Real use

Friday and Saturday after 8pm require a €20-per-person deposit. Sunday brunch comes with a free welcome drink promotion. Every New Year's Eve slot uses a fixed €80 set menu. All three run side by side — no spreadsheets, no manual chasing.

Key benefits

1

Protect peak slots with deposits

Require a deposit on Friday and Saturday nights, let weekday lunch book for free. The form enforces it automatically.

2

Fill slow slots with promotions

Attach a promotion — free drink, 10% off, early-bird discount — to any slot. It shows on the booking form and in your reports.

3

Run special nights without a second system

Valentine's Day set menu, NYE fixed price, themed brunch — a product rule locks the slot to a specific offer.

4

Discount rules for loyalty

Apply a percentage or fixed discount to selected slots — useful for members-only hours or local partnerships.

5

No-show fees where they matter

Attach a no-show fee rule to high-demand slots. The fee is collected automatically if the guest doesn't show up.

How it works

  1. 01

    Open the work time scheduler

In the operator app go to Settings → Working Hours and open the day you want to configure.

  2. 02

    Pick the slot

Each day is split into slots (10, 15, 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes based on your venue setting).

  3. 03

    Choose a rule type

Promotion, Discount, Product (set menu), Deposit, or No-Show Fee. Fill the amount, mode (fixed or per person), and dates.

  4. 04

Attach to one slot or many

Reuse the same rule across multiple slots — one rule, one source of truth. Edit the rule, every slot updates.

  5. 05

    Set a validity window

Each rule can have a start and end date — useful for seasonal promotions and one-off events.
