Stripe Payment Gateway
Take deposits and card holds with Stripe — keep the revenue that no-shows used to cost you
Reservation.Tools connects to your existing Stripe account so guests can pay or authorize a card when they book — without leaving the reservation form. The integration runs on Stripe Connect, so payouts land in your own Stripe account on your own schedule.
Once Stripe is connected to a venue, you can require a deposit, a pre-authorization hold, or a no-show fee on any time slot. The form takes the card, the money is authorized or captured based on the rule, and the reservation moves forward automatically.
Because it runs on Stripe, you get the full card-payment surface: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, 3D Secure, and multi-currency support. No extra contracts, no second dashboard to manage — guests pay, you see the reservation confirmed, Stripe handles the rest.
This is how restaurants stop losing Friday-night covers to guests who book three places and show up at one. Take the deposit or the hold, and you'll see no-shows drop the same week.
Key benefits
Pay into your own Stripe account
Payouts go to your Stripe account on your schedule. No aggregator, no middleman, no extra payout delay.
Deposits, holds, or full prepayment
Use Stripe for any payment rule — a fixed deposit, a per-person hold on large parties, or a no-show fee that only charges if the guest doesn't show.
Apple Pay, Google Pay, 3D Secure out of the box
Guests pay with whatever they already use on their phone. Fewer drop-offs at the payment step, more completed bookings.
Multi-currency for chains
Each venue connects its own Stripe account and currency. A group with restaurants in different countries bills each guest in the local currency.
One dashboard for reservations and payments
Every payment is tied to a reservation. You see the status, the amount, and the guest in one place — no cross-referencing a payment dashboard.
How it works
- 01
Connect your Stripe account
In the venue's payment integrations, connect your Stripe account via Stripe Connect. Takes two minutes if you already have a Stripe login.
- 02
Set payment rules on time slots
Open the slot rule scheduler and attach a deposit, pre-authorization hold, or no-show fee to any working-hours window — Friday dinner, New Year's Eve, groups of 8+.
- 03
Guest books and pays on the form
The booking form asks for a card. Stripe authorizes or charges depending on the rule. If the card is declined, the reservation is not created.
- 04
Capture or release based on what happens
No-show? The system captures the hold. Guest arrives and is seated? The hold is released automatically. Cancellation inside the deadline? Charged per your rule.
- 05
See every payment on the reservation
Each reservation shows its payment status, amount, and Stripe reference. Refunds or manual actions can be done from Stripe itself.
