Waiting list
On busy nights, the worst answer a host can give is 'we're full'. That guest walks away, books the restaurant down the street, and may never come back. Most of the time, though, you know a table might open — someone will cancel, a party will finish early, a no-show will happen. You just don't know when.
The waiting list turns 'we're full' into 'I'll put you on the list and call you if something opens'. Capture the guest's name, phone, party size, and preferred time once — then let the system track them. When a table frees up, you see who's waiting for that slot and reach out in one click.
It also works the other way: guests on the public form who don't find their preferred time can add themselves to the waitlist instead of leaving empty-handed. That's one more booking you'd otherwise lose to the competition.
For weekends, holidays, and busy events, the waiting list is where extra revenue lives.
