Creating Rules for Working Hours
Real restaurants don't operate 9-to-5. Monday closed, Sunday brunch only, Christmas Eve short hours, long weekend in August. If your online booking form doesn't know about any of that, you end up taking reservations on days you're closed — and then calling guests to cancel.
Rules for working hours let you define the pattern on top of your base schedule: recurring weekly rules (e.g. closed every Monday), one-off exceptions (public holidays, private events), and seasonal shifts (terrace closes at 10pm in winter, open until midnight in summer).
Online bookings automatically respect the rules — guests never see slots you can't serve. Staff creating reservations in the app see the venue as closed on blocked days. And when something changes last-minute, one toggle updates the public form and the internal book at the same time.
This is the difference between a reservation system that matches reality and one that forces your host to clean up the mess.
